The new Ski Club of Great Britain member app allows Ski Club members to use their newly issued Ski Club membership cards as lift passes instead of buying separate cards from the ski resort ticket office.
Currently there are two ways the membership card can be used as a lift pass:
'Pay as you go' - using Alto.Ski's 'pay as you ski' technology, Ski Club members can benefit from 'pay as you go' skiing in 10 resorts in Italy (full list available www.alto.ski/resorts) by activating (scanning) each lift pass in the Ski Club app and associating a payment method with your account (no payment is taken, unless the lift pass is used in a 'pay as you ski' resort)
Pre pay at the ticket office - Alternatively Ski Club members can visit the ski resort ticket office in the usual way, but ask the ticket office to 'load' the purchased ticket onto the Ski Club membership card / lift pass. Ski Club members will then be able to use their membership card as their lift pass instead of having to take an additional card. In this case there is no need to 'activate' the lift pass within the Ski Club app.
